Organization Background

HUDA Development Organization is a non-governmental, non-political and non-profit organization established on October 13, 2009. HUDA is registered with Ministry of Economy under license No: 1530 and have signed a MOU with Ministry of Public Health of Afghanistan, the organization also has registered with Ministry of Women Affairs under license No: 363, and also have signed a MOU with Ministry of Agriculture Irrigation and Livestock, based in Kabul, Afghanistan.

The goal of the organization is to work with people who are engaged in social transformation and development. HUDA aims to help developmental organizations to create genuine and consistent developmental practices in the field and in that tries to build the leadership capacity of the local NGOs to make these practices a sustainable reality.

HUDA sees development as an innate and ongoing life process to be recognized, respected and worked with, to be unlocked and enhanced. We do not see it as something that can be created or delivered through projects designed from the outside with this as a fundamental orientation. We see a developmental practice as a conscious, facilitative approach to social transformation.

Effective developmental practices respectfully accompanies and supports people and their organizations, communities and movements, in their own efforts to realize their aspirations, make their choices and access their fair share of resources, and in doing so increasing their equitable cooperation for shaping an interdependent world for current and generations to come. HUDA aims to pioneer and provide Organization Development (OD) services to improve the effectiveness of developmental organizations in Afghanistan.
